Website for Maaike Lauwaert
Maaike Lauwaert is a curator and art critic. Her website is an archive for mainly two kinds of texts: long form articles published in magazines and journals, and shorter, less formal notes. The website makes the distinction clear and provides the right contexts for reading either kind of text – more isolated for longer articles, more contextual for the shorter notes. We explored the different requirements for long-form screen reading versus reading on paper, and designed and programmed a finely tuned information architecture and typographic palette.
